The chalice and paten for ordinary celebration and concelebration.

The generating concept of faith and imaginative practice is Salvation, which comes from the Resurrection of Christ, made possible by the sacrifice of the Cross: in every Eucharistic celebration we retrace and encounter Grace through Christ, His Sacrifice, His Offering, perpetuated by the Church through time. Thus the chalice: the very arms and hands of the crucified, dead and risen Christ raise the perfect Offering to the Father, His own blood, which descends to redeem and sanctify the Earth and, with it, all humanity. In order to “emphasise participation in the one bread and the one cup, care should be taken, as far as possible, to prepare a single paten and a single chalice”* , a single larger paten was chosen. Thus the paten: Peter’s boat, on which the Lord is present in His true body, guiding it and gathering in the lowered fishing net all the believers who, through communion, participate in His very life.
