Garden with swimming pool in the Euganean Hills
This garden on the magnificent Euganean Hills enjoys a beautiful view over the valley but needed to be rethought to make it more usable and interesting. The client requested the insertion of a small swimming pool in the flat part beside the beautiful house, which had recently been completely restored. The greatest challenge was obtaining the permits for the construction of the swimming pool, both because of the landscape constraints that characterize the entire area of the Hills and also because of further specific monumental constraints due to the presence of a Villa and a Church nearby.
Thanks to a careful landscape design that made it possible to screen the swimming pool from the view of the protected buildings, while keeping the views open towards the panorama of the valley, the constraints and the resistance of the responsible authorities were overcome. The garden redevelopment intervention provided for bands with oleanders and Quercus Ilex for screening, while towards the hill, in a semi-shaded area, arrangements of Hydrangeas were inserted and, around the swimming pool, groups of Agapanthus and decorative grasses.
