Giardini & giardini Competition: Art Gardens=Design+Garden+Art

For the fifth edition of Verdecasa, PadovaFiere promoted the third edition of the GIARDINI&giardini event: the competition for the design and creation of low-cost mini gardens, conceived and organized by PangeaPROGETTI. The theme of the 2012 competition was “ART GARDENS – Design+Garden+Art”, art and design enter the garden – the garden becomes art, with the creation of 24 sqm green spaces (6x4), designed by landscape architects, artists, garden designers, professionals in the green sector, and built by qualified companies. Twelve projects were selected and created within the event. The result was highly unexpected and exciting, as the theme of the combination of greenery and art was translated into very different areas: in some of them, actual works of art were installed, made of different materials and craftsmanship, while in others the greenery itself became an expression of art, either in itself or as a meaning referring to broader concepts. Within the GIARDINI&giardini event area, the installations of several sponsor companies exhibiting their products were coordinated: shading structures and sails by Tendarredo-Corradi, swimming pools by HotSpring Italia srl, lights and vertical structures by Aldo Bernardi srl, garden furniture by De Checchi Gino sas, Grigolin Delfino, Atmosphera and Trevigarden, outdoor construction elements by Granulati Zandobbio, irrigation by Hidroservice, outdoor lighting and systems by Ares Italia, water systems by Hydrophillum, and outdoor sound diffusion equipment by G&BL AVM Enginnering spa. The nurseries Franceschetto, Giardini di Lucrezia, Arbopiante, F.lli Berti, Progetto Natura, and Bano Lorenzo with Salmaso Vivai service contributed to the creation of the green installation.
